Standing Commission Plan of Action 2010 - 2011

The Standing Commission adopted at its meeting in February 2010 its
2-year Plan of Action for the years 2010-2011.
The Plan focuses on Movement-wide issues, which is the specific mandate of the Commission, and on furthering and encouraging the implementation of the resolutions from the previous statutory meetings, in particular those of the Council of Delegates in Nairobi in November 2009.
Among its focus tasks is the planning for the next Council and now also the 31st International Conference, scheduled for late 2011 in Geneva. Emphasis is also on the Strategy for the Movement and in particular its action 4 on how to improve dialogue and increase efficiency of our various Movement fora.
The Commission plans an evaluation of the Strategy’s objectives and expected results along with exploring the need for a continuation of the Strategy or a strategic framework for the Movement after 2011.
