Mr Greg Vickery
Chairman of the Standing Commission
Lawyer and Adjunct Professor in Law, Australia
born in 1946
Greg Vickery was National President of the Australian Red Cross from November 2003 until December 2011.
He has served on the Governing Board of the International Federation for six years, from 2005 to 2011.
He found membership in the Standing Commission a logical step after these positions and experience gained to further his four decades-long engagement as a committed Red Cross volunteer.
Greg Vickery wishes to strengthen the Commission’s role in preparing for the International Conference and other Movement level fora especially the 2013 Council of Delegates in Sydney.
Furthermore, he wishes to see the Red Cross and Red Crescent decisions promoted and above all implemented, with the ultimate goal of progressing interests of the whole Movement.
